ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Mission and Vision Statements Analysis

ICE mission statement is “to protect America from the cross-border crime and illegal immigration that threaten national security and public safety.” The agency contributes to this mission by:

As a law enforcement agency with a specified scope, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcementuses over 400 federal statutes to promote better immigration systems such as screening and processing. ICE doe not have an officially published vision statement. Through the ‘What we Do’ section, the agency clarifies its ambitions, which are a reflection of its vision.

It discusses the desire of the company to remain a step ahead of all cross-border problems in the U.S. by implementing techniques that best apply the various statutes. Some of the various ways that ICE satisfies this call is by structuring itself to ensure seamless coordination among its various departments. For instance, this has been instrumental in the efficiency of coordination recorded by ERO with other state agencies.
