The American Heart Association was founded on 10th June 1924 in the United States of America. It is a non-profit association formed to fund cardiovascular medical research. One of the major diseases that cause maximum death in the world is heart disease. Heart attack is the second leading cause of death and disability in the world. Every year, more than eight lakh Americans from all age groups die of a heart attack. Many people also suffer disabilities due to heart disease. AHA is formed to educate people and let them understand that they can prevent heart disease by following a few simple steps like exercising, keeping weight in check, controlling BP, cholesterol, and sugar.

Human Race has been fighting cardiovascular disease and heart stroke for more than a century. American Heart Vision Statement is to become a persistent force to ensure long and healthy lives. Today, this association is USA’s oldest and largest voluntary association that is solely dedicated to fighting against heart stroke, and heart disease. AHA has invested more than $4.8 billion in cardiovascular disease research because heart stroke is the leading cause of death in the USA. Its mission includes reducing heart disease, building healthier lives, and making the world free of CVD and stroke.

The objective is to promote the importance of good health across the world and minimizing the roadblocks.

Since 2000, AHA has come up with a goal policy for the coming decade every ten years. The goal of AHA in the 2030s is to ensure healthy life expectancy. It wants to ensure that people in the USA and across America live in good health. AHA wants to ensure that health care is not just accessible but also affordable. It wants to minimize the gap between the rich and the poor.  

AHA also aims to educate people to make healthy life choices and encourage them to exercise more. Its goal is to work together with different health associations and governments to make the world a healthier planet to live healthier and longer lives.
